OBSRVTNS: December 7th, 2015

Time seems to fly, at least it’s flying by for me. Travel, work, write, repeat seems to be the thing. I’ve been seeing a new person and she comes to the city on weekends to visit. It’s helping me to see the city with fresh eyes. I want to take her to see and experience everything that we have to offer out here. She makes me grateful, she reminds me how amazing my life really is and how far I’ve come from my beginnings.

I wish had more to say this week, but I’m drained. Exhausted, working toward long term goals, fretting over short term ones and worried a little bit about my dog. She seems a bit depressed. I’m worried more that I’m not enjoying my life as much as I should.

Having said all that, I think I’ve written about twenty minutes of stand up material and I’m starting to perform that shit…I think in life it’s important to always keep moving forward, to constantly be challenging yourself. It also means making choices. You can’t get everything done that you’d like to, so you have to start making decisions about where you’re going to focus your energy.

Joe De Rosa

My guest this week on OBSERVATIONS with Sovereign Syre is Joe De Rosa. Joe is a standup and comedy writer and all around really super good guy. We met at a party where he told me he had just purchased a piece of Star Wars art for about 400.00. I knew then and there he was the kind of friend I wanted to have. We take on just about everything in this interview, but mainly we talk about the statistical probability of contracting HIV from fingerbanging someone.
