History Falls Apart

History Falls Apart is the creation of Sovereign Syre and Ryan Byrne, two writers, bored historians and cultural critics with more books than you. Ok, that was the third person part. Ryan and I have been tinkering with History Falls Apart for a few years, first as a podcast and now as a web series of sorts that lives on YouTube and twitter, although the podcast part is forthcoming. We use a collage method of building films from archival news footage and popular media to create new narratives around past future and current events, and add live action elements performed by ourselves. Important Adults

Important Adults is a carcast shot over the last couple years, where I interviewed by various important adult friends about the subject of adulting, what it is, how to do it, if I’m doing it right. I think it was really just a chance to catch up with my favorite adult industry people and comics to see what would happen, if something would catch fire. I’m still not sure about it as a project, but a lot of people were drawn in to seeing conversations between performers in the adult industry that weren’t geared toward the adult industry or selling a fantasy. Boss Bitches Of History

Boss Bitches was created by me and my friend Ela Darling, a VR tech pioneer, but whatever. I was approached by the Wisecrack channel about doing a show about art history. I didn’t know very much about art, but I’m a huge history buff, and so I pitched an idea about lesser known women from history, and telling their stories in a way that would make them more accessible and relevant to modern audiences. We ended up with Boss Bitches of History. It was my first time ever getting paid to write for TV, kind of, and I’m proud of what we did. It didn’t get very far on the channel at the time, but a couple years later Comedy Central came out with a show called Bad Bitches of History…and well…I guess we’d proved the concept. SportZ Night

I did a spot on the SportZ Night web series. This episode actually ended up getting submitted in a pitch to ESPN a year later.

Adult Swim: The Last Open Mic At The End Of The World

Baby’s First TV Credit. I was featured in this comedy special for Adult Swim. Originally aired May 28, 2021 on Adult Swim. At the end of 2020 I submitted for this pilot, it was delayed, we shot it in January to be part of a series. Then through COVID blues, it was repackaged as special. The full set lives on my computer, but alas, cannot be distributed here. This is the cream of the Los Angeles alt-comedy crop though. Enjoy!

Cobra Juice

When I co-hosted the Cobra Juice Variety show out of the Steve Allen Theater I used to have a segment where our headliner would read my fan mail out loud. On my birthday Marc Maron headlined and Dave Foley from Kids In The Hall came out just to read one of the most bizarre emails I ever received, while I provided commentary.

Sorry Not Sorry

Me and Alia Janine did a cross country tour in 2017, we drove from Brooklyn, to Chicago, to Seattle, to Portland, to San Francisco to Los Angeles and didn’t kill each other. When I got home, I had decided that I could never be a road comic, and it lead to an existential crisis, but I made it through. Anyway, this was our stop in Milwaukee.
